Delhi Court Halts Removal of AIFF General Secretary Shaji Prabhakaran

In a recent twist of events, the removal of All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) General Secretary, Shaji Prabhakaran, faced a roadblock as a Delhi court intervened on Friday, as reported by Times of India. The AIFF had terminated Prabhakaran from his position on November 7, citing a breach of trust as the grounds for his dismissal. However, a Delhi court has now put a stay on his termination, according to updates shared by journalist Marcus Mergulhao.

Following Prabhakaran’s removal, M Satyanarayan assumed the role of acting secretary general. Still, with the court’s recent order, the status quo has been reinstated, putting a temporary halt to the changes initiated by the AIFF.
