Krejcikova dreams of creating a Lego model of Wimbledon’s Centre Court one day. She said, “I have many of them actually. Yeah, I even received some from my team here. If there’s one for me, I’ll do that.”
2. Coaching Change
Barbora Krejcikova made a big change in her coaching team last year. She ended her partnership with Ales Kartus, who helped her win the French Open in 2021. Now, she works with Pavel Motl, a former schoolmate and occasional training partner. Motl, who doesn’t call himself a coach, works with Krejcikova in a less formal role. He recalls their past, saying, “Bara was 10 and she played in the village where I live. She beat our adult neighbor 6-0, 6-0.”

Krejcikova says, “I remember thinking about her a lot. I have so many beautiful memories and when I step on the court I fight for every single ball as that is what she would want me to do.”

Barbora Krejcikova was prepared for the Paris Olympics. But the luck was not beside her she lost to Anna Karolina She plans to team up again with Katerina Siniakova to try to win their doubles title at the Tokyo Olympics. Even though they briefly played with other partners, they are back together for the upcoming games.
5. Skipping School for Tennis
As a kid, Barbora Krejcikova cleverly used tennis to avoid school. She enjoyed playing in junior finals because they were scheduled on Mondays, letting her skip school. “I always liked playing the finals at minor tournaments because we played on Mondays and I didn’t have to go to school. That was my goal for the weekend,” she said.
