The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York, recognise individuals who have excelled in playing, managing, and serving the sport in the US and beyond.
According to the current rules, players must have at least 10 years of major league experience to be eligible for induction to Baseball Hall of Fame. The other criteria includes, they must be retired for at least five years if living, or deceased for at least six months.
After passing through a screening committee, the players are then voted on by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA). A player must be approved by 75% of those casting ballots in order to be among the inductees to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
