No. 11 Colorado and No. 12 UCLA are set to clash in a highly anticipated Pac-12 matchup on Monday night, with both teams trailing Stanford by two games in the conference standings as the regular season approaches its conclusion.
The Buffaloes (20-6, 10-5 Pac-12) are currently facing their first three-game losing streak since January 2022. In their recent game against No. 7 USC, Colorado suffered a close 87-81 loss at the Galen Center. Despite the defeat, the Buffaloes saw strong performances from several players, including Aaronette Vonleh, who led the team with 18 points. Notably, Jaylyn Sherrod, a candidate for the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20, contributed 11 points and a team-high six assists. However, USC’s JuJu Watkins made a significant impact with 42 points, marking the most points scored against the Buffaloes since 2003.
On the positive side, Colorado recorded 22 assists in the game, marking the 16th time this season they have achieved 20 or more assists.
Meanwhile, UCLA (21-5, 10-5) enters the game with momentum, having won four of their last five matchups. In their most recent game, the Bruins secured an impressive 82-52 victory over No. 18 Utah, with Londynn Jones leading the charge with a career-high 23 points and seven 3-pointers. Charisma Osborne also made history by becoming the second Pac-12 guard to reach 2,000 points and 800 rebounds, joining Sabrina Ionescu of Oregon.
The UCLA vs. Colorado game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network and streamed live on Sling. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, February 26, at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Looking ahead, both teams have key matchups remaining in their schedules. Colorado will face Washington and Washington State before competing in the Pac-12 Tournament, while UCLA will take on Arizona State and Arizona before heading into the tournament as well.
