Formula One legend Michael Schumacher, who met with a life-threatening accident and has been sustained by his family at their home in Switzerland, reportedly made his first public appearance in a decade. 

According to reports, Schumacher attended his daughter’s wedding last week at the Schumacher family’s villa in the Spanish island of Mallorca. He was reportedly at the happy occasion to bless daughter Gina who tied the knot with her boyfriend Iain Bethke.

The marriage was reportedly a heavily guarded affair, with an utmost focus on privacy. Guests attending the wedding were even asked to leave their phones at the entrance.

Michael Schumacher met with a horrific accident while skiing at the Alps back in the year 2013. He was left with a life-threatening brain injury. He hasn’t been spotted in public since. The Ferrari legend had interacted with friends and family members at the event, the report added.

The Formula One legend’s family lawyer later stated that the family had decided not to reveal the driver’s health status due to privacy reasons.  The family had maintained extreme secrecy about his condition ever since the accident, with no updates on his health to even their extended family members.

The lawyer, Felix Damm, stated “It was always about protecting private things. We considered whether a final report about Michael’s health could be the right way to do this.”

“But that wouldn’t have been the end of it and there would have had to be constantly updated ‘water level reports’ and it would not have been up to the family when the media interest in the story stopped,” Damm clarified.

Although nothing is official yet, there are rumours that Schumacher and Corinna youngest son Mick may have proposed to his girlfriend, Danish lingerie model Laila Hasanovic, 24, with another family wedding rumoured to be in the pipeline for 2025.

Recently, four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel who is close to the Schumacher family revealed that the 55-year-old was not doing too well.
