Batting first after winning the toss, MI Emirates posted 179/5 courtesy fifty from Nicholas Pooran (51 off 28), and smashing 41 off 23 balls by Tim David.

In response, Gulf Giants got off to a good start led by James Vince’s half-century (52 of 43 balls) but were restricted to 161/9. Fazalhaq Farooqi was the pick of the MI Emirates bowlers, taking 4/25 in his 4 overs.
