The Marquez brothers are stealing the show! If you thought last season was wild, this year is on another level. Marc and Alex Marquez aren’t just making headlines, they’re rewriting the history books, dominating the standings, and giving fans the sibling rivalry we never knew we needed.

Together, they’ve become the first brothers to both win MotoGP races in the same season, and now they’re sitting pretty at the top of the MotoGP 2025 standings.

Marc isn’t just winning, he’s dominating. Seven Grand Prix wins, ten sprint race victories, and a string of “perfect weekends” where he’s taken pole, fastest lap, and the top step of the podium. His latest victory at Sachsenring was his ninth at the track, cementing his status as the king of Germany and pushing his all-time win tally to 69, second only to Valentino Rossi. Every time he’s on the grid, you can feel the tension. Will anyone catch him?

Alex Marquez: The Breakout Star

Alex Marquez has always lived in his brother’s shadow, but not anymore. His maiden MotoGP win at Jerez was a dream come true, and he’s followed it up with consistent podiums and fierce rides. The Spanish GP was the turning point. Alex took the lead, never looked back, and showed the world he’s not just Marc’s little brother. With 261 points and a handful of second-place finishes, Alex is keeping the pressure on Marc and making this title fight a family showdown.

What’s Next In MotoGP 2025 Standings?

With half the season still to go, the question on everyone’s mind: Can Alex catch Marc? Or will Marc cruise to another world title? One thing’s for sure: MotoGP 2025 is the year of the Marquez brothers, and every race is must-watch TV. So buckle up, MotoGP fans. The Marquez brothers are on top of the MotoGP 2025 Standings, and the ride is just getting started!

The wait is finally over for ice hockey fans around the world. After a 12-year Olympic absence, the National Hockey League (NHL) players are officially set to take the ice at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This landmark decision was finalized on July 2, 2025, and marks the return of the best hockey talent on the planet to the Olympic stage for the first time since the 2014 Sochi Games.

A Long-Awaited Decision For The NHL

It’s a moment that has been long in the making. The NHL, NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA), International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), and International Olympic Committee (IOC) came together in Zurich to ink the agreement that will allow the world’s top professionals to compete for their countries once again.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman summed it up perfectly: “Olympic participation will showcase the skill and talent of NHL players on an international stage.” This collaboration is not just a win for hockey but a global boost for the sport’s growth and visibility.

Why Is This Such A Big Deal?

For over a decade, Olympic ice hockey has missed the star power that NHL players bring. The last time these elite athletes donned their national jerseys at the Games was in 2014. Since then, the Olympics have been without the best of the best, leaving fans craving the intensity and drama that only NHL stars can deliver. Now, with Milano-Cortina 2026 on the horizon, anticipation is building for a tournament that promises to be a high-octane clash of hockey titans.

Lock The Dates At The Milano-Cortina 2026

The 2026 men’s hockey tournament will kick off on February 11 and run through February 22, featuring 12 countries, including powerhouses like Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland, and host nation Italy. The return of NHL players means fans can expect the kind of electrifying gameplay, fierce rivalries, and unforgettable moments that define the sport at its highest level.

This agreement also sets the stage for the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps, ensuring that NHL players will continue to bring their world-class talent to the Olympic ice for years to come.

In short, the stage is set, the players are ready, and hockey fans worldwide have every reason to be excited. Milano-Cortina 2026 will not just be another Winter Olympics; it will be a celebration of hockey’s finest, a showcase of speed, skill, and passion that only the NHL can deliver on the grandest stage of all.

The tournament was originally scheduled for 24 May 2025 at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana. The tournament was played under tough and rainy conditions, which kept fans on the edge of their seats until the very last putt. For Spaun, it was not just a win, it was the moment he proved to himself and the world that he belongs among golf’s elite.

JJ Spaun’s Road to Victory

PC: PGA

JJ Spaun, the 34-year-old from Los Angeles, started the final round just one shot behind the leader, but things took a wrong turn. He bogeyed five of his first six holes, and by the turn, his scorecard read 40. Most would have counted him out at that point. But after a weather delay, Spaun found new energy as he dug deep and started to climb his way back into contention.

The turning point came on the 17th hole, where Spaun hit one of the best shots of the day, giving himself a chance for eagle. He missed the eagle putt but made a birdie, taking a one-shot lead into the final hole. On the 18th green, he needed just a two-putt to win, but he rolled in a dramatic 64-foot birdie putt, clinching his first major championship and finishing the US Open 2025 at one under par, the only player to break par for the week.

Other Notable Performances At The US Open 2025

Robert MacIntyre, the Scottish left-hander, finished runner-up at one over par. He played a steady final round and set the clubhouse lead, but Spaun’s late heroics edged him out. Viktor Hovland, from Norway, took third place, adding another strong finish in a major to his record.

Tournament favorite Scottie Scheffler finished in a tie for seventh, five shots behind Spaun, continuing his streak of top-10 finishes at majors. The tough Oakmont course and heavy rain made life difficult for everyone, and several big names struggled to keep up with the changing conditions.

Traditionally, it is a warm-up event for Wimbledon and it’s held annually at the Queen’s Club in West Kensington, London.

2025 marks a special year as the women’s singles event returns to Queen’s after more than 50 years, making it a highly anticipated stop on the WTA Tour. This tournament is ongoing, and we have already reached the semi-final stage of the women’s singles. So, who could win the tournament? Let’s see.

Who Reached the Queens Championships 2025 Semi-Finals?

The Queens Championships 2025 women’s singles draw has been packed with star power and thrilling matches. As the tournament reached its later stages, the following players secured their spots in the semi-finals:

Qinwen Zheng (China): The top seed, Zheng has shown her class throughout the tournament, including a straight-sets victory over Emma Raducanu in the quarter-finals.

Madison Keys (USA): The second seed, Keys advanced to the semi-finals and is set to face qualifier Tatjana Maria.

Tatjana Maria (Germany): The experienced German qualifier pulled off impressive wins to reach the last four, including a notable run past higher-ranked opponents.

Amanda Anisimova (USA): Anisimova defeated Emma Navarro in the quarter-finals to book her semi-final spot.

Top Contenders for the Queens Championships 2025 Women’s Singles Title

As the tournament’s top seed, Zheng has lived up to her billing, sending strong opponents home with her powerful baseline play and consistency. Her win over Raducanu in the quarter-finals shows her peak form and confidence on grass. Zheng’s aggressive style and ability to adapt quickly to grass make her a leading contender for the title.

Meanwhile, Madison Keys is known for her big serve and explosive groundstrokes. She has always been a threat on faster surfaces like grass. She has experience in the latter stages of major tournaments and, as the second seed, has handled the pressure well so far. If her serve is firing, she could be unstoppable.

Tatjana Maria has also been the surprise package of the tournament. Maria’s game, featuring frequent slices and net play, is well-suited to grass courts. Her momentum and underdog spirit could carry her further, especially if she continues to upset higher seeds.

Amanda Anisimova’s powerful baseline game and mental toughness have helped her navigate a tricky draw. If she maintains her composure and aggressive play, she also has a real shot at her first big grass-court title.

Who Could Win The Queens Championships 2025

Based on current form and the semi-final line-up, Qinwen Zheng stands out as the favorite. She has been consistent all season and has already beaten tough opponents at Queen’s. However, grass courts can be unpredictable, and both Madison Keys and Amanda Anisimova have the weapons to challenge Zheng if they play their best.

Coco Gauff has made it to the WTA China Open 2024 finals after defeating Paula Badosa in the semi-finals. Gauff became the youngest player after the victory to reach the finals since Caroline Wozniacki did in 2010. Gauff achieved this feat just at the age of 20 years and 6 months, while Wozniacki was 20 years and 3 months when she won the tournament in Beijing back then 2010.

Coco Gauff will now face Karolina Muchova from the Czech Republic in the final. This will be their first match this season, though they met twice in 2023. Gauff won both encounters with the last one being at the US Open semi-finals and the Cincinnati final. Muchova has yet to win a set against Coco Gauff and will aim to change that this time.

If Coco Gauff wins, she will become the first American since Serena Williams to capture the China Open title. Williams last won the trophy in 2013, having previously secured it in 2004. Gauff could be the second American to ever win in Beijing.

Muchova’s Path to the Finals

Karolina Muchova has also achieved significant milestones in her run to the finals. Ranked world No. 49, she is the lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament’s history. Muchova defeated two top 10 players on her way to the finals—Aryna Sabalenka in the quarter-finals and Qinwen Zhang in the semi-finals. If she wins against Coco Gauff, she will be the first player to defeat three top 10 players in a single edition of the China Open.

Coco Gauff Aiming for First Title Since January

Coco Gauff (China Open)

While Coco Gauff is selected to win, she has struggled with her form in recent months. However, her performance at the China Open 2024 has been strong and she’ll need to maintain that flow against Muchova. Gauff’s speed and endurance will test Muchova’s willpower on the court. Both players are ready to make a strong comeback and claim the title at the Diamond Court in Beijing.

This final will be Coco Gauff’s second of the year, her first being in Auckland in January, where she won the title. Muchova, on the other hand, has made steady progress after missing the first half of the season due to wrist surgery. Both players have shown great determination throughout the tournament and are expected to deliver an exciting final.

This fight will take place at the UFC Vegas 100 event on Saturday, November 9, at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Dutch mixed martial arts star recently parted ways with ONE Championship and has now signed a contract with the UFC. He will compete on the undercard of this significant Vegas event. De Ridder, who held the ONE Light Heavyweight and Middleweight titles, lost both belts to Anatoly Malykhin. At 34 years old, he last fought at UAE Warriors 51 in July, where he easily defeated Magomedmurad Khasaev.

Reinier De Ridder’s MMA Career and Record

Reinier de Ridder (UFC)

Reinier De Ridder began his professional mixed martial arts journey in 2013. He won his first nine fights across various promotions before joining ONE Championship in 2019, quickly making his mark in the title race at the Singapore-based organization.

In 2020, De Ridder won the ONE middleweight title just four fights into his tenure with the promotion. He then moved up a weight class to capture the light heavyweight championship, becoming the third two-division champion in ONE Championship history. Throughout his 17-fight MMA career, known as “The Dutch Knight,” De Ridder has suffered only two losses, both against Malykhin. Out of his 15 victories, 13 have come by way of finish, including 4 knockouts and 11 submission wins.

Reinier De Ridder’s UFC Debut Opponent

For his debut in the UFC, De Ridder will face established submission specialist Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight bout. Known as “GM3,” Meerschaert recently secured a come-from-behind submission victory over Edmen Shahbazyan, earning a Performance of the Night bonus for his effort last month.

Meerschaert has finished 35 of his 37 career victories, with 29 of those wins coming through submission. He currently ranks third all-time in UFC history for the most submission wins, boasting 11. He is now ready to welcome De Ridder, The Dutch Knight, to the UFC.

FOOSH. That’s not the sound of Jannik Sinner’s tennis serve. FOOSH stands for “fall on an outstretched hand.” It’s a common injury that happens when someone falls and lands on their hand. This is exactly what happened to Italy’s Sinner during his semifinal match at the U.S. Open against England’s Jack Draper. The big question now is: how will Sinner’s injured left wrist affect his game against American Taylor Fritz in the men’s singles final on Sunday?

The Injury in the Semifinal

Sinner hurt his wrist in the second set of his 7-5, 7-6 (3), 6-2 win over Draper. He fell backwards while reaching for a ball and landed on his outstretched left hand. Although he won the point, he immediately started clutching his wrist in pain. He got treatment from trainers, including a massage, and was seen icing his wrist after the match.

FOOSH injuries are common because people instinctively reach out with their hands when they fall. This can send strong forces through the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder, which might cause damage.

What to Know About FOOSH Injuries

FOOSH injuries can range from minor bruises and sprains to more serious fractures and dislocations. After such an injury, it’s important to check the entire arm for any fractures or dislocations. These serious issues need prompt medical care to decide if a brace or surgery is needed.

It seems like Sinner hasn’t broken or dislocated anything. But the FOOSH injury could still affect his performance against Fritz. Even without fractures, a soft tissue injury like a tendon strain or ligament sprain could weaken his left wrist.

Why the Left Hand and Wrist Matter

Sinner is right-handed, so an injury to his dominant wrist would be worse. But his left hand and wrist still matter. His two-handed backhand needs his left hand for power and control. An injured left wrist could make it harder for him to hit strong and accurate backhands.

Even with his one-handed forehand, the left hand is involved. It helps hold the racket when waiting for the ball, tracks the ball, and helps with the follow-through. An injured left wrist could affect all these actions.

His serve also relies on his left hand. It’s used to toss the ball and is involved in the follow-through. If his left wrist is limited, it could affect the serve’s accuracy and power.

Managing the Injury

How much the FOOSH injury affects Sinner’s game depends on how stiff and painful his wrist is. To manage the injury, he will likely use RICE—rest, ice, compression, and elevation—to reduce swelling. He might also take anti-inflammatory medications to help with pain and swelling. Physical therapy could be used to keep his wrist flexible.

Without a detailed look at Sinner’s injury, it’s hard to say exactly how it will impact his performance in the U.S. Open final. For now, it’s still an open question.
