The NHLPA, known for its involvement in hockey, expanded its purview by releasing its second annual team report cards for the NFL. These report cards provide insights into how all 32 NFL teams are perceived by the players themselves, touching upon various aspects such as the quality of training facilities, treatment of players’ families, and the relationships with head coaches and owners.
This year’s report highlighted standout performances from the Miami Dolphins and the Minnesota Vikings. While Minnesota topped the rankings last year, Miami claimed the top spot this time around. Both teams were lauded by NHLPA president J.C. Tretter as being “far and above ahead of everyone else,” demonstrating their commitment to player satisfaction.
Conversely, there were teams that failed to impress. The Washington Commanders received a failing grade for the second consecutive season, solidifying their position at the bottom of the rankings.
The NHLPA’s initiative to provide these report cards aims to offer fans and players alike a deeper understanding of how each team is perceived by its players. With 1,706 active NFL players participating in the survey, yielding a response rate of over 77%, the report cards serve as a valuable tool for player education regarding the operations and environments of different NFL organizations.
